SOCIAL IMPACT MEDIA EDUCATION

Courses Built Around Impact, Audience & Reach

A meaningful film, podcast, or media project can only create impact if it reaches the people who need to experience it.

Metamora Films develops Film Courses & Workshops for people creating social-impact documentaries, podcasts, short films, and other story-driven media. The focus goes beyond production itself. Instead, programs can explore how to shape the story, identify the right audience, reach viewers and listeners, and create greater impact after the project is released.

01

Storytelling With Purpose

Explore how to shape a film, podcast, or media project around a clear purpose, meaningful story, and audience. In addition, the program can examine how creative choices influence the way a message is understood.

02

Finding & Reaching the Audience

Identify who needs to see or hear the project and explore practical ways to reach viewers, listeners, educators, nonprofits, advocates, community groups, and other relevant audiences.

03

Impact Beyond the Release

Go beyond simply publishing the project. For example, a film or podcast can continue working through screenings, discussions, educational use, partnerships, outreach, and community engagement.

04

Social Impact Project Development

Develop documentaries, podcasts, short films, and other media with storytelling, audience strategy, and impact planning considered together from the beginning.

BUILT AROUND THE PROJECT

From Creative Idea to Real-World Impact.

These are examples rather than a fixed course catalog. Programs can be developed around a specific social-impact project, organization, audience, or learning goal.

In addition, a course can support a project that is still being developed or help participants think more strategically about a film, podcast, or media project that has already been completed.

CUSTOM FILM & MEDIA WORKSHOPS · METAMORA FILMS

CUSTOM PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

Workshops Built Around Your Project & Goals

Not every organization needs the same course. Sometimes the strongest program starts with a specific film, podcast, audience, challenge, or impact goal.

Metamora Films can develop custom workshops and short courses for nonprofits, schools, universities, organizations, creative teams, and community groups working with social-impact film and media.

01

Start With the Goal

First, we look at what participants should understand, create, discuss, or do differently after the program.

02

Shape the Program

Next, the course or workshop can be developed around the topic, audience, available time, existing media project, and desired outcome.

03

Choose the Format

Finally, the program can take the form of a one-time workshop, multi-session course, virtual program, in-person session, screening and discussion, or a custom combination.

You do not need to choose from a fixed list of classes. Instead, we can begin with the project, audience, and impact you want to create, then build the educational experience around that.

VERSIONS OF ME · IN DEVELOPMENT

FILM AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL

Versions of Me: Beyond the Screen

Versions of Me is being developed as more than a documentary series. It is also being shaped as an educational and discussion tool for schools, universities, nonprofits, organizations, and community settings.

The project explores identity, stigma, labeling, lived experience, reentry, and what it means to rebuild beyond the way others define you. Because of that, the films can also become a starting point for deeper discussion, reflection, and guided learning.

01

Screening & Discussion

A film or selected segment can open a classroom, organizational, or community conversation around the themes and lived experiences presented on screen.

02

Reflection & Learning

Guided discussion can help participants examine stigma, identity, second chances, reentry, and the consequences of reducing people to a single label.

03

Facilitated Programs

As the series develops, it may also support facilitator-led workshops, reflection prompts, discussion materials, and other educational resources built around the films.

WHO THESE PROGRAMS CAN SERVE
